Grace Matters Radio Program WGNV radio station has decided that they will no longer be airing Grace Matters after January 27th (see letter below). To contact the station regarding this programming change, please address your comments to the Program Director Mark Bystrom. Trinity is investigating other avenues for bringing Grace Matters to central Wisconsin. We will keep you posted on any further developments. To listen to the program referred to, or any other Grace Matters broadcast, use this link: http://www.gracematters.org/listen.html.
I must also inform you that WGNV will no longer be airing “Grace Matters” after January 27th. We are making some adjustments to our weekend schedule which will allow us to play more music. Several other shows are also affected by this move.
Unfortunately, another reason we are ending our association with “Grace Matters” is the theologically liberal direction of the program. One recent broadcast featured an interview with a Quaker pastor advocating Universalism-the belief that every person will eventually be saved regardless of faith in Christ. Since this view was enthusiastically endorsed by the host of the program, “Grace Matters” is no longer in agreement with our statement of faith as an organization.
Our representative Joshua Crabb has been in contact with the committee at Trinity which oversees this sponsorship but I wanted to make sure you were aware of this development also. Please know how much we value Trinity’s sponsorship of “Grace Matters” over the years and are saddened that this move became necessary. We certainly appreciate your partnership and hope there may be another way we can partner with you in the future. Joshua will be in further contact with Trinity to see if this is a possibility for you. Please also feel free to contact me if you have any other questions.

SPARE A DIME SALVATION ARMY- HOPE CENTER The Salvation Army Hope Center, 1600 Briggs Street, Stevens Point, is a place of refuge for thousands of people each year. Through a comprehensive program, they are able to provide a safe, secure environment for anyone in need without discrimination. The Hope Center is a seven-day emergency shelter and a 30-day transitional living shelter. In the last 6 months of 2007, the Hope Center provided approximately 8000 nights of shelter to men, women, and children experiencing homelessness. The Hope Center is also a place for a hot meal. Over 30,000 meals were served last year from a modest kitchen and dining room.
This month the Spare a Dime offering will be sent to the Hope Center. By Trinity designating that the funds are to be used locally, all donations will stay in Stevens Point. Please make this month’s offering of change very noisy!
